The purchase of a home is among the biggest financial decisions you will make in your lifetime. Taking a home buying class will do more than teach you how to get a mortgage or save towards a down payment—it will help you determine the amount of home you can afford while reaching your other financial goals. Real estate markets continually change. It is worth considering taking a class each time you’re making a home purchase, especially if it has been more than three years between purchases. The home buying class can keep you up to date on what you’ll need to know this time around. Please note… If you intend to purchase a home with another individual, you are both required to attend the workshop and following counseling to qualify for grants etc.
